In order for the sections to work, you need a to have a theme installed (even just the basic free theme Debut or Dawn that is included when you first sign up for Shopify). Though these sections should work with most themes, there could be problems that arise. Simply reach out to us if you encounter a problem and we can make it happen for you!
These sections are built specifically for Shopify websites as they are coded using Liquid. You won’t be able to use these on other platforms, such as WordPress.
All you'll have to do is copy the custom Liquid code and paste it within the Code Editor in the Shopify admin. Once that's done, you head over to your Theme Editor to customize your new section.

No, you do not! All you need to know is how to download a file, copy its contents and paste it. The installation process is extremely easy, quick, and intuitive, and does not require any coding knowledge. And we provide guidance for you of course.
Yes, they work especially well with 2.0! While our pre-made Liquid content blocks should work on all versions of Shopify, on version 1.0 you'll only be able to add them to your homepage. We've prepared you a tutorial on how to add sections to other pages or we can do it for you with a custom installation add-on.
Excellent question! Unfortunately, when updating a theme, any code you've added yourself will be removed. But the section can easily be re-added! You'd have to reinstall the qwiqode file(s) (that's easy) and then copy the data from the older theme over to the updated one (a tiny bit more complex).
We've create a tutorial how to copy a section to a new template to help you with that. The only difference would be that you are copying that data from a template on one theme over to the new theme.
No, we currently do not create themes or apps.
The sections that we do create are basically supplements to the themes to make them better while giving you the flexibility to display your content in more ways while also providing an alternative option to subscribing for certain apps.

On the same site? Yes, you can use them as many times as you’d like. Things differ depending on whether you're running a Shopify 1.0 or 2.0 theme though. Instructions are included when you make a purchased.
On different sites? Only if you purchased the 'unlimited' license. Otherwise, you can only use the section on the one website you registered your purchase to.
We offer licenses for single or unlimited websites. If you’re a merchant who needs to add a section for their website, a single-use license will be enough. However, if you’re a web designer or developer, you can save hours of coding work by purchasing an unlimited license and using this section on multiple websites.
